Fuji Regimental Command
|
The Five Permanent Fuji Imperial Guard Regiments share their world with the Tenno no Samurai Space marine Chapter. Because of the Fuji's Warrior ways they choice to continue to give their Imperial Guard Regiments but they have been scales to five Permanent Regiments from the 28 regiments that were standing at the time the Space Marine Chapter was formed. Tenno no Samurai's fortress base, sits on the side of Mount Tokuyama. The Heavily fortified mimics the Classic Lines for Castles of the Planet Fuji since before reunification, when the Emperor came and showed the people of Fuji IV the True light. This is represented often as red Sun Disk in art, and on the Shoulder pads of Samurai no Tenno and also remains a popular Icon for Regiment Tanks and Armoured Units. This however, is not representing the Emperor as the Sun but representing the guiding light he brought to the Fuji system was reclaimed into the Imperium. Fuji IV is a Largely Agricultural world. Military Manufacturing has largely been kept to Fuji III which is largely a Mining world with a Mean Temperature of just over 40 degrees C. Fuji II and Fuji I are mining worlds where special Machines and Underground bases are used and the Mean temperatures are much hotter than Fuji III. Fuji V, VI, VII VIII are beyond an asteroid field and are all gas Giants Each with many moons and Rings. Fuji XI is largely believed to be a Errant Moon of Fuji VIII. as it a small Earth body, still considered a Planet by the local system population. There is strong Abhuman population on Fuji IV, Ratling and Ogryn settlements can be found in small corners of the world. These are descended from retired Imperial Guard members that were assigned to Fuji Regiments over several thousand years they have reach stable populations and now serve in Fuji Regiments rather than having to be assigned to the units. Another Quirk of people of Fuji System is their Tolerance of Pyskers. They don't fear Psykers and often consider such people to be Blessed my the Emperor. This acceptance has some times cause the inquisition to investigate the planet, of course not with the Space Marine Chapter such action will not be tolerated without hard evidence. Further many Inquisritional officers and Inquisitors have roots or linage to Fuji system.
The Chapter Master, Field Marshal, and General of the PDF form the Technical heads of government all three serving as the Heads of the Shogun Council. The Chapter Master's Governing title is Shogun although it rarely used outside of the Planet. Both the Field Marshal and General are Vice-Shogun but the General of the PDF is generally the Defacto leader of the Government of the Planet because of the fact that both the Chapter Master and Field Marshal are off fighting for the Emperor. The Rest of the Council is made up of Daimyo of the large Prefect Districts of the Planet, Many are based on old Clan Territories from before the Return of the Emperor.
Fuji on the whole is a well run and protected system. Life on Fuji IV is very peaceful when compared to most of the Imperium. People know their places and social rules Crime is low and nearly everyone is feed. The Planet's PDF is one of the best in the sector.

Because of a Strong martial culture when the Emperor's Crusade swept through the Fuji System, a number of links remain to this Ancient heritage. Clans that formed much of the noble remain very powerful even has the Formal Class system has lessen in the waves of Imperial Guard regiments that have left Fuji IV. Warriors are still the most important Class in the Fuji world but many clans have found the need to place their Sons and Daughters in the Imperial Guard [Unless their sons managed to enter the Tenno No Samurai], Many of the Clan heads which server as district governors have spent many years in the Officer Corp of the Imperial Guard or at least the PDF force. Greatest Respect is given to those that have served in the Tenno no Samurai of course but Clan members never retire from that life. Guard Commanders are the norm. Over the last 10,000 years. The Noble and Commoner lines have blurred and service in the Imperial Guard or PDF. Swords man ship is still a well seen hobby for most clan members and duels are not uncommon, mostly to first Blood.
After the Warrior comes the Farmer, a humble but honourable position given the Purpose of Fuji in the greater Imperium view. Much of the food is exported leaving much of it for the many hive cities all over the many systems.
Because the Fuji System has an attached Chapter of Space Marines, Fuji is not required to Tithe men of the Imperial Guard. However, at the time of the Tenno no Samurai's founding it was suggested to maintain a Imperial Guard force of the Existing Regiments and create a Volunteer recruitment system for those regiments do to the highly martial existing culture. The 30 Regiments of the time were reformed into the current Eight based largely on Battle Honours. Every year Six to Ten thousand are sent as reinforcements to the Regiments.
