Karak Grim Summery |
|
Karak Grim is a newly taken abandon hold that the Brightshields claim they lost to the Greenskins 1945. The Clan Brightshields swore they retake the hold when they were driven from it. over 50 years of wandering the Brightshields settled in the Grey Mountain. for many years they gather forces to regain their homeland. and retook Karak Grim from a huge goblin army. the hold as been held for 10 years and the Dwarfs have largely used the time to clean up the mess of the Greenskins habitation. many old items though lost where found including an Anvil of Doom that not even the elder had said was there. Currently the Hold is stable and cleaned with some of the mines working. The Hold is sparsely populated because of the many goblin attacks. The Hold can easily hold 30000 Dwarfs but less than 5000 call it home. This is Changing ever so slightly as there is much talk about the Hold Being Favourited by the Dwarf Gods. The Birth Rate has shot up dramatically in the years since the hold was retaken. A Great many Children have been born in the Hold, none have reach adulthood yet and the looming threat of the Greenskins remains but in a Few decades Karak Grim will have the highest number of Beardlingsin the Old World.

Allies: The Steelkeeper Ogre clan has come to be steadfast allies in the last two years. what was simple a pragmatic agreement to safe dwarf lives has become a good solid alliance that allows both groups a greater degree of security than either could get on it own.
Brief History: Clan Brightshield lost Karak Grim to the Greenskins 1945. The Clan Brightshields swore they retake the hold when they were driven from it. over 50 years of wandering the Brightshield settled the Grey Mountain. the elder would take about the revenge on the Greenskins but little about anything else to do with the hold. The Bright Shields and other clans found trade and work to keep them busy but never for got their oath. The Current Book of Grudge for the Hold begins with this ousting by the Greenskins. no one is sure what happened to the Hold Book of Grudges that existed before the attack. Further no one seemed remember the hold outside of the families who said they lived there. Over the years the Families and clans of Karak Grim kept quite of their hold since no one believed them. then after hundred of years The leader of the Clan Brightshield gather the old families and other clans people saying that he knew where the hold was. They could take it back and avenge the long dead. soon a small army of dwarfs marched the long way from Grey mountain and traveled to where the hold was suppose to be. The Goblins were caught of guard and were slaughtered by the Dwarfs though the Dwarfs lost a third of their numbers. The dwarfs fixed and repaired al that they could and began to re-fortify everything as well. The Hold is not well know at is rather close to Karak Ungor. The Thing is that Krudd of the Royal house as traveled to a number of Dwarfen realms and found no mention of Karak Grim. None can remember it. Through great effort Krugg even asked Thorgrim Grudgebearer if he had heard of his hold before its retaking. He had replied no . This mystery bothers the Dwarfs of the hold even as they assert themselves in the area.
