It was a Quiet summer day around the Kamiya Dojo. The Summer sun was half way through its journey to noon and the Heat had quite reached unbearable yet. Not that Sano cared, he was sitting on the veranda of the Dojo.

"It so hot Jo-chan" said a sweating Sano.

"You lazy lout, all you do is come over and bum food from me!" said Kaoru, who had been sweeping the veranda

"Simmer down Jo-chan, I'll pay you back when I can." said a defensive Sano

"I not sure, that I could handle it if you paid me back, and when you are not mooching off me you mooching of Tae. You owe her a small fortune." yelled demonic looking Kaoru at a shrinking Sano.

"Look, I pay both you back when I gets some money Ok?" Said Sano. He was feeling a little guilty of mooching of Kaoru, lately Kaoru was having trouble feeding Kenshin, Yahiko and herself let alone adding Sano to a meal. Sano had even tried working to get some money. But his temper prevented him from staying on the job for very long. Every time he came to Kaoru or Tae they never said know and he always got something to eat.

"Jo-chan you still have that Fishing pole?"

"Nani?" said Kaoru as she did a double take. "Yes, why?"

"I will go fishing, You wouldn't have some rice balls I could take for lunch?" said Sano. He hoped that Kenshin had made rice balls last, if he was to get Kaoru's rice balls, well he almost rather have nothing.

"Ok I got some rice balls and I will get the Fishing pole." said Kaoru. She dashed off looking for the Fishing pole. She entered her room. She found the Fishing pole in her closet. She couldn't remember why it was there but simply grabbed it and then got the Rice balls from the kitchen.

"Here you Sano, I hope you catch lots of fish." Kaoru handed the Rice balls and Fishing pole over to Sano. "I made these rice balls this morning."

Sano looked at the almost ball like rice balls.

"I hope to catch lots of fish too!" Sano smiled taking the Rice balls and Fishing pole. As he left he tried to convince himself that Kaoru's cooking was better than starving.

"See you later Jo-chan."

Sano walked out the gate towards the River. After traveling down the road a bit. He say a Imperial Police man. He had to look twice because this police man was carrying a katana. Sano looked carefully, and saw that it wasn't Saitou. The police man had a gentler face, in fact he looked a bit like Kenshin except that his chin was less sharp. He struck Sano as being slightly familiar. Sano Continued towards the river, hoping that he catch a few Fish.

The policeman continued towards the Kamiya Dojo. He walked through the main gate, and walked towards Kaoru.

"Excuse me, Ojo-sama, would this be where Himura Battousai lives?" said the bowing Police man, his voice was calm and polite.

Kaoru had been sweeping. Kaoru went on edge has his question, (when anyone came looking for Kenshin by that name it was never good. She wondered what the Government wanted with her Kenshin now.)

"Ojo-sama, Is he here?" asked the police man.

Kaoru stopped her mind wandering "Hai, I will get him."

Kaoru walked towards the back where Kenshin was washing the laundry, Kenshin was hanging up the laundry to dry.

"Good morning Kaoru-dono." said a smiling Kenshin.

"Kenshin there is a police man here to see you."

Kenshin got up and began to walk towards the front of the house. Kenshin thought to himself [What does the government need from me now? Why don't they just send Saitou? Why can't they leave me alone.] Kenshin sighed.

In the front of the Dojo, Yahiko walked out the Dojo. "Kaoru the Dojo floor is polished." He looked around not seeing Kaoru but seeing a police man with a Katana.

"What are you doing here?" asked Yahiko

"I am here to see Himura Battousai." said the police man.

{He here to see Kenshin?} Though Yahiko {why?}

Kenshin and Kaoru walked from around the Corner into Yahiko and the police man vision.

"Hitokiri Battousai I have found you!" the Police men clicks his Katana out of his saya and assumes a battoujutsu stance.

"So you have." replies Kenshin. He walks so that he is parallel to his opponent.

"KENSHIN!" screams a concerned Kaoru.

"It will be alright, Kaoru-dono." says Kenshin calmly.

A look of fear and dread came over Kaoru

"Kick his ass Kenshin." cheers Yahiko.

"Come" sais Kenshin

The Policeman charges and draws his katana, Kenshin matches the policeman's dash and draw. There two blades clash and they both skidded to a stop. The police man stand up straight and sheathes his Katana in his Saya.

"Time has not dulled you abilities, Himura-sensei." said the police man

"Your abilities have improved even more than I expected Shiba-san." said Kenshin

"SENSEI?" exclaim both Yahiko and Kaoru.

"Hai, Himura-tono was my sensei when I was a member of Ishin shishi.

"Tono?" asked Yahiko

"Uh. . . It was used for one's Daimyo." said a now scarlet faced Kenshin.

"He was you student Kenshin, I didn't know you taught anyone Hiten Mitsurugi ryu?" asked Kaoru

"well at the time some one had to teach him and I was the only one could train him well. " said a still red Kenshin.

"So you know Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu?" asked Yahiko.

"Hai, well sort of, I really only learned the basics of it and a couple of the special techniques. I prefer to call my style Tenryu Misturugi since it is based on Hiten Mitsurugi ryu but has other elements and techniques within it. Oh, I am so rude I haven told you my name, I am Shiba, Shiba Kenshin. It is my pleasure to meet you."

Both Kaoru and Yahiko's eyes bulge out as they both do a double take.

"I see Shiba-sama, I am Kamiya Kaoru, sensei of the Kamiya Ryu. And this is my student Myo Yahiko."

"So what other techniques are part of you style?" asks Yahiko.

"Both Hirazuki and kodachinito ryu influenced my style and a little invention on my part." said Shiba.

"Kodachinito? That is Aoshi's style isn't it Kenshin?" asks Yahiko.

"Hai Yahiko, Shiba-dono studied it a little under Higashizo Ichiro Before the Boshi war, In fact that was the last time I saw him, until today, right Shiba-dono?"

"Hai." said Shiba.

"Kenshin, what is Hirazuki Ryu? I remember the name but I cannot place it." asked Kaoru.

"It was the primary style of the Shinsengumi, Saitou Hajime is the last living member of it, begin to only Guard captain I know of that is still alive. All the other masters of it are dead." said Kenshin.

"You never know who will pop out of the wood work though Himura-tono?" chuckled Shiba.

Shiba stood up " I must go now, see you Himura-tono, I have been transfer to Tokyo so I will be around. Have a good day." he walked out the main gate.

"That was weird Kenshin, it not often anyone walks through that gate wanting to see you and begin and old friend of yours." said Kaoru.

"He is a strange guy Kenshin." said Yahiko

"He is a samurai, much like Saitou he is a man from the past age living in this era. Begin a police offer is probably the only job that allows him to follow Bushido, which might also explains why Saitou is a police officer too." said Kenshin. [Perhaps we are the last three samurai.] though Kenshin. [I wonder what would have happend if the Ishin shishi had outnumbered the Shinsengumi that night.]
