Epic Apocalypse in Fort McMurray
After a long and arduous campaign our first Epic game is done, we learned a lot and a good time was had by all. We learned may different things on how to make it better and look forward to doing it again next year for all interested people.
Because the two Biggest forces are the Ultramarines of Harry and the Combind Space Wolf forces of three different player please understand that the game will centre around this Clash of Titans.

2nd Annual Epic Apocalypse in Fort McMurray
Points: The Currrent Goal is 250,000 points per side 500,000 points Total, all armies must be a multiple of 5000

Easter Weekend Friday April 22nd thru Sunday April 24, 2011 8:00 am to 6:00pm
Cost:
Currently the Fee is estimated at 75 dollars Canadian, This can change as the event gets closer
Prizes:
1st place is 150 dollars retail GW product
2nd place is 100 dollars retail GW product
3rd place place is 50 dollars retail GW product
We shall also have a Radmon Drow for 50 dollars retail GW product
New this year are our Painting Contests
We are having two painting contests this year!
The first is your classic bring in a single model to be judged in out painting contest, There wil be a 25 dollar entry fee for those not playing in the main game.
The second is a contest to see how well one can paint during the game, bring your paints and brush for those times you are free to paint. The Model can be assembled and primed before the game but nothing else. Painting is only allow while in the game room.
Prizes for each are First Place 75 Dollars retail GW product, Second Place is 50 dollars retail GW product
Rules Sets:
Apocalypse, Apocalypse reloaded, and the GW Apocalypse Data Sheetsare all valid. The Imperial Armour volumes from Forge World are also in use but Imperial Armour: Apocalypse and Imperial Armour: Apocalypse II are considered the most up to date set. Please be aware of both GW and Forge World FAQ will be enforced. VDR rules are allowed, must be verified by the organizer before the game starts.
All Formations found in the above sources are legal
No Casino Dice are allowed. Please remember to bring your own dice please.
Special Rules:

Strategic Assets will be Restricted to 1000pts. [Each being 250]. This doesn't count
any gained from Formations

There will be Objectives on the board to hold, This is Apocalypse any unit can hold, Objective markers will be worth one point in your Deployment zone, two in the Middle of the table and three in opposing side deployment zone. A players total points will be divided by their armies point total, to get their Player ranking for prize support.

Vendettas, Valkaryes and vultures are now given the fly special rule for free and anything with the Supersonic rule will also get the fly rule.

You can only flank march within a 24 inch range of your setup area on the other side of the board. Thus only the players on the extreme left and right flanks will have the left and right board edges as flank marches. No more than 25% of army units and/or points may flank march. All units flank marching must be able to move 12 inches in the movement phase. Infantry mounted in transports can flank march.

Deep Striking as per normal rules, Deep Striking units must be declared during set up.

Players are required to provide the codex, forge world, or chapter approved that any unit they are using.

Notes about models, models should clearly represent a give unit type in which ever codex, forge world, or chapter approved.

Non GW models are allowed as long as they comply with above rule.

8:00 am to 9:00 am on Friday will be Unpack armies and preset up, there will be tables for this along the sides of the space.

9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday the curtain will be lowered and the Blind Deployment shall begin. Note that you will not be able to see what your foes are placing across from you. Gentleperson players will after they finish their deployment will help other members of their team Deploy. Anything not deployed in time shall be placed in reserves.
Current Suggestions for Play
It is suggested that all deep striking troops all obey the same 24 inch rule as flank marching barring mishaps.
It is suggested that any player should deploy in one area on the table for ease of use and for faster game play. Units may be given to other players control at set up or during arrival. Any such unit will gain point to the player it is assigned to.
